Day by Day Through the Bible: Twelve Days in Daniel - Digital Download
The theme of Daniel is God’s sovereignty over history and empires; setting up and removing kings as He pleases. Some of Daniel’s visions are so precise some scholars think they were written after the events actually occurred, not as prophecy in advance. The detail of Daniel’s prophecies is unparalleled in the rest of the Bible. It served his own generation well and is the key to unlocking much of the prophecies in the Book of Revelation today. See it for more than great stories about a fiery furnace and a lion’s den. Study it to also understand the last book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation. This 28-page devotion takes you through the twelve chapters of Daniel in twelve days.

Comment: What are you facing today? Are people trying to set you up for failure in your Christianity? There is no doubt these people came to set up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego for absolute failure so they could be destroyed because they were competing for positions of leadership within Babylon. Do people try to set you up for failure too, so your Christian testimony could be tainted? Stand firm on your foundation of Christianity. Does it mean God will deliver you? Not necessarily. It means He can, just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Prayer: Your Word says the fire had no power over the bodies of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The fire of hell has no power over our bodies, either. May we walk in faith, just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did. Strengthen us, we ask. In Jesus’ name, amen.
