Day by Day Through the Bible: Thirteen Days in 2 Corinthians - Digital Download
2 Corinthians is the most personal of all of Paul’s letters, filled with deep emotion. He writes to do a few things: strengthen the faithful majority and purify the church. Secondly, to offer the rebellious minority one more chance to repent before he returns to judge them. What is its relevance today? Have you ever had to defend yourself? In his most autobiographical letter, Paul provides a model of how to keep our composure while defending ourselves and reaching for reconciliation. This 30-page devotion takes you through 2 Corinthians one chapter a day for thirteen days.

Comment: Paul says, “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.” Can you say the same thing? Can you say your inner self is being renewed day by day? We can be sure that will happen day by day as we spend time in God’s presence, time in His Word, and time with Him in prayer. I need to be renewed day by day. That is why I do not skip a day in God’s Word. Each and every day I spend a little bit of time with the Scriptures and with the Lord in prayer. I hope you do, too. I hope you make it a habit to renew your inner self day by day.
Prayer: Lord, we may be stuck in this tent, this human body, as we live here on earth. We know the tent, this human body, ages, it groans. It will be destroyed, each one of ours. But we are so thankful You are preparing for us a new body, a heavenly body, to live eternity in.
